Central Uddevalla.

Two minutes walk to the train station and five minutes to the town center. Uddevalla Fort, with remains from the 17th Century and a sweeping view of Uddevalla and the fjord, is located just round the corner.

 

Edwardian villa.

Built in 1915 and designed by Arthur Brattberg. During the 1920s, Emily Nonnen - author of The Sisters at Liseberg – owned the house and called it Villa Solhem. The house was converted to a hotel in 1959.

 

 

Lena and Marc

Marc and Lena bought Hotel Viking in 2011 and have since renovated and managed the hotel. Lena is a florist, chef and artist with roots in Gothenburg. Marc, originally from England, is also an artist and has served as an officer in Afghanistan for several years.
